The project? We call it 52.WKS.

The idea? Once a week, compose a minute of audio and post it online.

The result? A soundtrack to the year 2011, but without the film.

52.WKS features one 1-minute instrumental song, composed, performed and recorded each week through the course of a year. What started out as a fairly dark collection soundtracks eventually turned into an all out exploration of musical styles. Ambient soundscapes, electronic, post rock, jazz, video game music, etc.

To get a feel for the album, listen to samples of these tracks: 1, 2, 14, 18, 19, 30, 36, 40, 47.

I did this in tandem with Danger Dave, who initiated the project. His music can be found here:
